Ode to Trader Joe's

The most poignant part is "the stuff that you love that they don't have anymore." Oh, Marinara di Napoli, I miss you!

(Via BoingBoing, of course.)

I miss the Sun-Dried Tomato Splash "seasoning" stuff ... I put that on everything from pasta to chicken to .. to ... everything.

That's a very cute commercial more cheaply done than the hundreds or pro jobs out there for this or that product that try too hard to be edgy or trendy or funny.

I end up buying at least one random neat sounding food I don't need whenever I go to TJ's. I never quite agreed with the "no photography" rules in stores though. Dunno why they have it.

It's the only grocery store whose house brand labels assiduously for possible cross-contamination with allergens. Words can't describe how exciting it is to go into a store where I can tell if almost anything is safe for me to eat just by reading the package.
