An apology.

I've given this some thought, and I'd like to offer an apology to Brian Defferding for using his response to a rejection in my "Fun with Rejectees" post. He is an earnest comics creator who expressed some disappointment as we all have in private to rejections, and I projected too much of his friends' attitudes onto him. This has everything to do with Mr. Defferding's admirably polite response to my post, which, as I told him, reminded me, as every editor I'm sure needs to be reminded, that there are hard-working people behind every submission. If you linked to my initial post, I would appreciate you linking to this one, too.

The second guy -- I stand by using him as an example. He was hilarious, and that's the kind of comedy you just have share.
